There are so many wonderful and special touches to this cake - it would be perfect for a birthday or anniversary centerpiece.

Tami utilizes rolled buttercream, impression mats, and other decorating "tricks of the trade" with this cake. It's best to have the "Cake Decorating Made Easy!" basics under your belt, or have other cake decorating experience to get the most out of this video set!

Meet the Decorator...

When Tami’s first child was born she wanted to make beautiful birthday cakes for him, like her mother did for her. After taking her first cake decorating course in 1990 she immediately became obsessed with gumpaste and started learning all she could about foreign technique. She started competing in 1991, and has won several Best of Show awards and numerous Best of Division and First Place awards. After a few years she started teaching and demonstrating.

Tami loves to learn all she can and has had classes with Nicholas Lodge, Geraldine Randlesome, Carole Faxon, Debbie Brown, Jan Svenson, Eunice Borchers, Lynne Rigby, Maureen Stevenson, Steve Stellingwerf, Roland and Marsha Winbeckler, and Betty Newman-May, plus many others. She has worked as an assistant for Nicholas Lodge and Colette Peters in their classes. And she has been featured in
American Cake Decorating Magazine several times and had her cakes in the ICES newletters.

Although she specializes in foreign technique cake decorating including Lambeth, gumpaste flowers, flood work, brushed embroidery, and bas relief, Tami thoroughly enjoys all facets of sugar art!

If you are looking for something new to try...here it is.  Not only does Tami show you how to work with rolled buttercream, but also how to use the vinyl mat.  Other techniques in this video is how to patch torn buttercream, using impression mats to make quilting, how to use mold to make lace.....and my favorite how Tami make roses using plastic bags....so simple, fast and easy.  Packed full of information and well worth buying.

I'm a real fan of this video.  It was my first exposure to rolled buttercream and I love it!  Tammy shows you how to make a truly beautiful cake, but breaks it down to easy to understand and execute steps.

This video is well laid out, and it challenges the viewer to extend their skills.  Though the techniques are easy, they require patience as well as a cool room.  Tami's instructions and demonstration of the technique easily encourages the viewer to feel confident.  I like the Victorian design of cake she presented in the end, and I know that it would be a hit at any party, and the decorator would have gained confidence in her skills and techniques.  Well worth the investment.

It's just too hot here sometimes for rolled buttercream but in the cooler months it's wonderful.  This is a good video.  I like the way Tami extends the piping onto the cake board.

has become one of my favorite techniques and Tami show you everything about it.  How to make those beautiful lace "things" was a mystery to me and the roses are so realistic.  I use techniques from this video all the time.  If you like buttercream over fondant and want to get away from just doing spatula work, get this video!
