Ring in the new year with this topsy-turvy delight! Susan shows you the *other* way to make a topsy-turvy cake - with wedges inserted between the layers to add the slants rather than cutting the layers on a slant.

This cake herald's the new year with a champagne toast and fun gold and silver stars, and makes you feel like you're in the middle of Times Square when the ball drops!

Celebrate with fun, glitz and cheer, and use the skills that Susan teaches for other projects. It's a win-win cake!

Susan utilizes fondant and other decorating "tricks of the trade" with this cake. It's best to have the "Cake Decorating Made Easy!" basics under your belt, or have other cake decorating experience to get the most out of this video set!

Meet the Decorator...
For eight years, Susan Carberry was the Lead Cake Designer for a bakery in Dana Point, California, helping it to grow to one of the most sought-out bakeries in Orange County.

During that time, she gave Sugar Art Instruction and Demonstrations across the nation.

Her "Edible Works of Art" have won numerous awards and have been featured in magazines such as American Cake Decorating, as well as on the Food Network's show, "Top Five". And, as you'll see, in addition to being a World-Class cake and cookie decorator, Susan has a real knack for making her lessons F-U-N!

This video teaches you how to construct a topsy turvy cake without having to carve cake. This is great for times you want the crooked look without sacrificing servings.

I didn't do this exact cake, but I used the techniques I learned from watching this video to make a birthday cake for a friend's daughter's nineth birthday. She loved it. I also made my son's wedding cake using this technique. I am a big fan of Susan's, and I have learned so much from watching her videos. Thank you Susan.

This is a great video for adding special effects for any cake.  Susan instructions made it easy for me to add the confetti to a 4th of July and Tami's bubble cake.  Everyone at both parties were blown away.
