This was my first cake to carve. It turned out to be beautiful. You can just go wild with all the extras you can add with this fish. I absolutely love the colors Susan has suggested. It was really a fun cake to make. You can make all your extra goodies ahead of time. This was a fathers day cake for my brother.

This is a wonderful video! Susan made it so easy to make this spectacular cake and all the accessories. It is easy to size it down to suit your needs or apply the techniques to make any other type of fish. If you want to make a show stopping fish cake you will want to add this video to your library!

Fantastic video on carving a fish and making it look so real! You will be amazed at how easy the video is to follow and Susan gives you all the instructions to make this fish look like he was just caught!

First Carved Cake |

I decided to give cake carving a try, and choose this cake to be the first one to tackle. Susan made it so fun to do and easy to follow. I love her reassurance and mistakes are easy to fix attitude. The cake was a HUGE success at my grandson's birthday party!

Hi all! I am a beginner so this was a little bit of a challenge for me. The most difficult part was the tail...so just keep playing with it! It came out wonderfully in the end. I will warn you though that up until the last few minutes, it didn't look like much...then all of a sudden it all comes together and colors that you thought were too bright or too saturated look perfect!
