"Bagful of Treats" Halloween Cake

This spooky character doesn't scare! Susan creates a fun, playful, easy-on-the-eye cake in her "Bagful of Treats" Halloween Cake.

And that cheery ghost in the middle of her bag cake? It's a lesson in sculpting with Rice Krispies! Susan shows you how to mold the ghost, then cover it with fondant for a delightful effect that you can use in all kinds of projects.

You'll discover that it's easy, but oh so impressive to make this cake!

P.S. This cake can easily be modified into a shopping bag for a special fun cake for a shop-a-holic you might know!

Susan utilizes fondant and other decorating "tricks of the trade" with this cake. It's best to have the "Cake Decorating Made Easy!" basics under your belt, or have other cake decorating experience to get the most out of this video set!

Meet the Decorator...
For eight years, Susan Carberry was the Lead Cake Designer for a bakery in Dana Point, California, helping it to grow to one of the most sought-out bakeries in Orange County.

During that time, she gave Sugar Art Instruction and Demonstrations across the nation.

Her "Edible Works of Art" have won numerous awards and have been featured in magazines such as American Cake Decorating, as well as on the Food Network's show, "Top Five". And, as you'll see, in addition to being a World-Class cake and cookie decorator, Susan has a real knack for making her lessons F-U-N!

SC to My Rescue ... AGAIN! May 3, 2011

When asked to make something fun and different for a Hallowe'en fundraiser, I was stumped.  Stroll through a Susan Carberry video, and VOILA!  Another easier than expected unique cake creation.  This one was so easy to do, I had it done and ready to go after only a couple hours.  It was the perfect design for after work decorating.

Bagful of Treats - Shopping Bag October 23, 2009
Reviewer: Beverly Cagle from Prosper, TX United States
This cake was so easy to make.  I followed Susan's instructions from the viedo and made a cake for a co-workers birthday.  She is always going shopping at lunch so I made it to look like a shopping bag.  Since I did not want to worry about the handles I made them out of fondant and let them hang down on the front and back.  I also made 10 smaller bags for individual treat bags for others at the party.  My co-worker was so amazed that the shopping bag was a cake that she almost did not let us cut into it.
